To defeat Fasaud's evil plot, the Thing and Ms. Marvel travel all the way into outer space! But what horrible price will they pay to end his madness once and for all?

The story starts with the Thing and Sharon Ventura as bound prisoners of Fasaud and his men. However, they soon break free of their restraints and get the better of Fasaud's militia. Thing and Sharon go up into space in order to destroy the satellite that Fasaud is using. They succeed in their mission. However, on the way back to Earth, they are bombarded by cosmic rays. The shocking conclusion reveals that Ben Grimm has mutated into a new version of the Thing with jagged pointed rocks. Even worse, Sharon has mutated into a female Thing!
